Earthquake Prediction (Forecast of Time): A New Approach

Abstract: In this article, an attempt has been made for the forecast of time of earthquakes measuring on Richter scale 6 and above, on the globe. For this purpose, data of USGS and IMD have been used for earthquakes and for the crossing time of the sun on a particular place, respectively. To avoid global differences in time, calculations are made according to coordinated Universal Time (UTC), so, the results may be useful for the globe. A successful earthquake prediction of an individual earthquake includes date (time), place and its magnitude. So here the emphasis have been given on its date (time), magnitude and methodology, opening a new avenue in this field where the sun has been used as a source of its triggering and as an instrument for its prediction also.

Introduction
The world is well-acquainted with the catastrophes and subsequent problems caused by earthquakes. What is an earthquake? Why does it occur? Where does it occur? When does it occur? Can the exact time, date and place of the earthquake be predicted? There are innumerable queries of this type. Most of them have been answered properly by our scientists, but quite a large number of them, still remain unanswered. Prediction is one such query. Forecast partially indicates our success, because there are possibilities and guesswork. It may or may not occur. So, we should concentrate on its prediction. Is it possible to do so? “Yes”, it is. But, unfortunately, nobody thinks in global terms. Is it proper to consider the problem as a global one? Why should it be done? It is our conviction that whenever there arises a fundamental problem of any unit and one is not in a state of certainty, then instead of studying a part of the unit one should study test the whole, so that any useful information or fact is not left unconsidered. So, the earthquakes should be studied on the global basis.Otherwise, we will not be able to arrive at correct conclusions.
Just as our body is an organic unit, so is the earth. German scientist, Humboldt realised this years ago and established the principle of Terrestrial Unity. Indians have also not lagged behind in this respect. Indians have always worshipped the earth as ‘Mother’. In other words, earth has been conceived of as an organic unit. As a natural corollary, space has been conceived of as the ‘Great Father’. This is in itself a very significant conception. There is father, there is mother, where are the progenies. Can it be said that the entire nature and the
natural phenomena are the progenies? Naturally, the mother will influence the progeny. Taking into account of the fact that the mother’s blood runs through the veins of the progeny, the effect of father also cannot be ignored. Therefore, the effect of space can in no way, be ignored. It means that earthquake is a natural event. Therefore, the earth being an organic unit, it must be studied in its totality. But, the study of the space can in no way be underestimated, a reason being that the natural phenomena are embedded in space. Just as his family and society influence a person, in the same way the solar system and constellations influence the earth. As one gets the impact of his family and society, so on all the
happenings on earth, there is impact of their family i.e. solar system and their society i.e. constellations. Thus, we come to the conclusion that for the proper study of an earthquake along with the study of the earth as a whole, the study of the effects of solar system and that of constellations must be taken into account seriously. Only then we can come to the right conclusion. An earthquake is a natural phenomenon. No natural event is unsystematic. It works under a system. Eclipses, tides, monsoon, rainfall, blossoms, river, rising and setting of the sun and so on all natural phenomena work under a system, in a process. It is immaterial whether we know the system and process or not. The ignorance of a system or a process does not mean that it is unsystematic. The earthquakes come in the similar determined process just as the tides, the eclipses and other natural events. Every earthquake is well-associated with another earthquake. They are deeply related to one another. Many scientists think that one earthquake has nothing to do with another earthquake. But we do not agree with the scientists who think so. Our belief is that one earthquake is well-related to another earthquake in that very manner as the veins of our body are inter-related with one another because one action of an original unit can never be unconcerned with another action of the unit. If the basic unit is an organic unit, it justifies the above observation still more. Does any action and reaction of our body has any concern or relation with another one? If so, we must acceptthat all sorts of earthquakes are associated with each other, whether they occur in China or Japan, Russia or Turkey and so on. If we do not accept this, we will have to admit that the earth is not a basic unit. Moreover, we will have to denounce the theory of Humboldt that the earth is an organic unit. If we accept the above notions, no doubt is left in accepting that date, time and place of forth-coming earthquakes can be determined in advance. We just have to know the basic system and process. The earthquake is not a sudden event. It is a natural event and no natural event is accidental. It works under a determined law. When earth covers moon, lunar eclipse occurs. This is not accidental. This is natural, and the process goes on slowly and gradually. A time comes when earth’s shadow covers the whole moon and there is total lunar eclipse. We know the process of lunar eclipse. Now we have to know only the basic system and the process of the earthquakes. The question arises by when this process can be comprehended? For this, we will have to study the solar system and constellations. But, why? The reason being that for the determination of the time of these natural events the study of celestial bodies will be more authentic than other instruments. Another factor worthy of note is that natural events should be understood naturally through natural events. Sun is the head of our solar family. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto etc. are other members of the family of the sun. The moon is nearest and dearest to the earth. It plays a vital role in the occurrence of all natural phenomena.

We are well-acquainted with the effects of the sun. We know that on account of the position of the sun, air pressure belts on earth shift, but we do not know that in accordance with the position of the sun, the track and trend of the earthquakes also change. So, the sun can be of great help in determining the time and place of the succeeding occurrences of the earthquakes. Therefore, when we study the track and trend of the earthquake, we must keep in mind that the apparent move of the sun is towards Tropic of Capricorn or towards Tropic of Cancer. This movement and direction is very important in itself. As we know, the earth revolves around the sun and on its axis. We oculate everyday just reverse of it that earth is stationary and the sun travels everyday from east to west. This movement of the sun is called as apparent movement. In the sub-Continental context, June is the peak of summers and December is that of winters. There is a great difference of temperature, humidity and intensity of sunlight. In the months of March and September, there is a position when temperature, humidity and sunlight are almost the same. It is a fact that whatever vegetation grows during March does not grow in September and vice-versa. What is the reason behind it? The scientists explain it as a mystery of enzymes. They explain that every seed has sleeping enzymes in it, which activate when optimum temperature, humidity and soil are available. It might take years lying down inactively inside the soil. What is that natural clock inside the seed, which activates its enzyme system? Scientists keep silence here. The fact is that this is the difference of “direction”. In the month of September, the direction is from summer to winter and during the month of March, it is from winter to summer. This changed direction of the sun is responsible for activation and inactivation of the seeds. Though, all other conditions for germination of the
seed are identical in both the joints of the seasons. When such a minute change affects a negligible seed then planetary forces can also produce its effects on the whole of the earth. It makes us believe that this principle is well-related to the origin of an earthquake at a place during a particular period. So for the determination of the track and trend of the earthquakes, it is pertinent to know the apparent movement of the sun is southerly or northerly. For determining the location of the forthcoming earthquakes it is also pertinent to know the latitude, where the sun’s rays are vertical. At the time of studying other planets, it is imperative to understand the zodiac (the apparent path of the sun), which is divided into twelve divisions of 30 each. Every part is known as the zodiac sign, which is termed on account of that angle which is situated in certain constellations. It is authors’ conviction that when the planets of one constellation enter another constellation, then there comes a change in the area of the influence because every constellation has its own effect that varies from one constellation to another. This difference is of the same type that of a ship on a river when it enters the sea. As soon as it crosses the bar, its plimsole line goes up due to the density of the seawater and vice-versa. This change disbalances the ship for a while. Such situation of disbalance occurs in case of planets also. This excess or dearth in the effect of planets influences the position of the earth also. This disbalance on earth occurs in the form of earthquakes. In other words, this is a state of ecological imbalances because when any planet of the solar system undergoes special effects, the ecological imbalance occurs. This situation causes earthquakes and other natural events, which helps in maintaining the balance. Such natural events are very necessary for the safety of the earth. The word “ecology” is derived from two Greek words which are Oikos (house) and Logus (the study of). According to Eugene P. Odum – “Ecology is the study of earth’s households including the plants, animals, micro-organisms and the people that live together as interdependent components because ecology is concerned not only with the organisms but energy-flows and material-cycles on the lands, in the oceans, in the air and in  fresh waters. Ecology can be viewed as the study of the structure and function of nature. It is understood that mankind is a part of nature.” It is clear from the above thought that in the ecology there should be a combined study of various things that exist on the lands, in the waters, in the air and so on. For in such study no unit remains untouched and incomplete. So, it is clear that the study should be based on synthesis. It is clear from the word Oikos (house) that it is a complete unit in which different things and activities are contained. Our earth is also a house, a unit; therefore, while studying the ecology of the earth no part of it should be left unconsidered otherwise, the purpose of study will come to an end. It would not be an exaggeration to call ecology as Ikailogy (the study of units). Our universe is the result of units. Small units lie in big units, big units lie in bigger units, and bigger units lie in the biggest unit that is the ultimate unit. In this way, the main subject of ecology is to study the effects of other units on a unit in which the study of energy flow and material cycle are also included. All the units are interdependent. In reference to earthquakes scientists have been talking about ecology. What is needed is to start studying and understanding it in a new light in reference to the units. As far as the capability of having the premonition of an earthquake is concerned, it is found in animals, birds, reptiles and other creatures. Vegetation and other natural elements also are able to hear the forewarning of the impending danger, accordingly, they change their form and behaviour, but so far, the scientists are notbeen able to find out this ability and capacity in human beings. Man is also equipped with such powers of premonition by which he can forewarn to others and can lessen the effects of earthquakes. This can be so because there is none of the components of the universe, which is not present in human beings. Our Upanishads say “As is the body, so is the universe”. That is why Indian sages and seers have advised us to know ourselves. In Indian mythology, there is the incarnation of goddess ‘Durga’, who killed the demon Mahishasura. It is said that to make Durga the embodiment of invincible power, every God provided her weapons of all sorts, so she could annihilate the demon. This demon may also be connoted as a stupendous problem of that time, which could be solved only when the great intellectuals (God) gave their knowledge and powers that they had, to another deserving intellect that is ‘Durga’, so that problem of that time could be solved. Similarly, in the study of seismology there should be a combined use of geography, geology, oceanography, astronomy, astrology, astro-physics, geo-physics, climatology, geo-morphology, philosophy and so on. The combined forces and harmonious synthesis of all subjects will open a new avenue of success and we will be able to determine the exact date, time and place of forthcoming earthquakes on the globe. Concerted efforts by all concerned in this direction have to be made with the fullest vigour and perfect optimism. So, in this context, this is a small effort to see the events of earthquakes on the globe, a step forward to listen the echo of nature. We would like to call this theory as the rhythmic theory of earthquake prediction. We have observed so many earthquakes in last years. It inspired us to think in a different way. So we have made some rules regarding the prediction of dates of significant earthquakes. On this basis, one can predict the date of significant earthquakes on the globe. It should be remembered that these are only the rules, not the principles. Here, we will talk about only one rule. This rule is related to the sun.
Rule
Whenever sun crosses any sign of zodiac, then on the same day, the date of the earthquake can be predicted, if earthquake does not occur on the same day, then add two-days more. It means the earthquake will occur on the third day including the date of crossing the sign of zodiac by the sun.
Example
On January 14, 1995 the sun had crossed the 9th sign which was Sagittarius and it came to the 10th sign which was Capricorn. On this basis, we have decided that the earthquake will occur on January 14, 1995, the same day. If it will not occur on January 14, 1995, then we will add two days more. It means 14 + 2 = 16 or third day including the date of crossing the sign. It also means January 16, 1995. So, we were sure that the earthquake will occur
either on January 14, 1995 or on January 16, 1995. According to the rule, on January 16, 1995 a strong earthquake hit Japan near the south coast of western Honshu. It was located on 34.06° north and 135.00° east. About 5502 persons lost their lives. Magnitude of this earthquake was 6.9. On the basis of this rule, we have predicted so
many dates of significant earthquakes, which later on proved to be true. A few instances are given as follows:

 15-06-1999, Mexico Earthquake: The sun crossed the sign on 15-06-1999. It crossed from 2nd sign (Taurus) to 3rd sign (Gemini). Earthquake hit Mexico on the same day.
 17-08-1999, Turkey Earthquake: The sun crossed the sign on 17-08-1999. It crossed from 4th sign (Cancer) to 5th sign (Leo). Earthquake hit Turkey on the same day.
 17-10-1999, California Earthquake: The sun crossed the sign on 17-10-1999. It crossed from 6th sign (Virgo) to 7th sign (Libra). Earthquake hit California on the same day.
 17-11-2000, New Britain Region Earthquake: The sun crossed the sign on 15-11-2000. It crossed from 7th sign (Libra) to 8th sign (Scorpio). Earthquake hit New Britain Region on the same day.
 13-01-2001, El Salvador Earthquake: The sun crossed the sign on 13-01-2001. It crossed from 9th sign(Sagittarius) to 10th sign (Capricorn). Earthquake hit El Salvador on the same day.
Exceptions to the Rule
Sometimes the dates of earthquake may vary. This variation may be of ± one day. This is due to influence of other planets.
 18-06-2000, South Indian Ocean Earthquake: The sun crossed the sign on 14-06-2000. It crossed from 2nd sign (Taurus) to 3rd sign (Gemini). Earthquake hit south Indian Ocean on 18-06-2000. But according to the rule, it should be either on the 14-06-2000 (same day) or on 16-06-2000 (third day).
 According to the exception it should be one day sooner or later but here the delay was of five days. So in this instance, the rule of the sun does not look appropriate. It requires another rule and we made one. In this case, we applied the rule which is related to the moon.
Rule
Whenever the moon crosses the Twelfth house (with the sun) or crosses the fourth house (four sectors ahead
with the sun) or crosses the sixth house (six sectors ahead with the sun) or crosses the Tenth house (ten sectors ahead with the sun) date of the earthquake can be predicted (forecasted).
Example
On 18-06-2000, the moon was 6th sectors ahead from the sun. The sun was in the 3rd sign and the moon was inthe 9th sign. On the same day, the earthquake hit south Indian Ocean on 18-06-2000. On the basis of the above rule, we have predicted many dates of significant, noteworthy earthquakes, which later on proved to be true.
A few instances are given below:
 07-10-1995, Sumatra Earthquake: The moon was six sectors ahead from the sun. It crossed from 11th to 12th sign on 07-10-1995. The sun was in 6th sign. The earthquake hit Sumatra on the same day.
 10-01-1998, China Earthquake: The moon was six sectors ahead from the sun. It crossed from 2nd to 3rd sign on 10-01-1998. The sun was in 9th sign. The earthquake hit China on the same day.
 02-07-1998, Turkey Earthquake: The Moon was four sectors ahead from the sun. It crossed from 6th to 7th sign on 02-07-1998. The sun was in 3rd sign. The earthquake hit Turkey on the same day.
 20-09-1999, Taiwan Earthquake: The moon was four sectors ahead from the sun. It crossed from 9th to 10th sign on 20-09-1999. The sun was in the 6th sign. The earthquake hit Taiwan on the same day.
 11-07-1999, Honduras Earthquake: The moon was with the sun. It crossed from 2nd to 3rd sign on 11-07-1999. The sun was in the 3rd sign and the earthquake hit Honduras on the same day.
 03-02-2000, Iran Earthquake: The moon was with the sun . It crossed from 8th to 9th sign on 03-02-2000. The earthquake hit Iran on the same day.
 25-11-2000, Eastern Caucasus Earthquake: The moon was with the sun . It crossed from 7th to 8th sign on 25-11-2000. The earthquake hit Caucasus on the same day.

 14-07-2000, California Earthquake: The moon was six sectors ahead from the sun . It crossed from 8th to 9th
sign on 14-07-2000. The sun was in 3rd sign. The earthquake hit California on the same day.
 06-10-2000, West Honshu Earthquake: The moon was four sectors ahead from the sun. It crossed from 9th
to 10th sign on 06-10-2000. The sun was in the 6th sign. The earthquake hit California on the same day.
 Exception: Sometimes, the date of earthquake may vary. This variation may be of one day. This is due to
influence of other planets.
 30-09-1993, India Earthquake: The moon was six sectors ahead from the sun. It crossed from 11th to 12th
sign on 29-09-1993. The sun was in 6th sign. The earthquake hit India after one day delay.
 22-05-1997, India Earthquake: The moon was six sectors ahead from the sun. It crossed from 7th to 8th sign
on 21-05-1997. The sun was in 2nd sign. The earthquake hit India after one day delay.
 17-07-1998, Papua-Nugini Earthquake: The moon was ten sectors ahead from the sun. It crossed from 12th
to 1st sign on 16-07-1998. The sun was in 3rd sign. The earthquake hit Papua-Nugini after one day delay.
 01-12-1998, China Earthquake: The moon was four sectors ahead from the sun . It crossed from 12th to 1st
sign on 30-11-1998. The sun was in 8th sign. The earthquake hit China after one day delay.
 10-05-1999, New Britain Region Earthquake: The moon was ten sectors ahead from the sun. It crossed from
10th to 11th sign on 09-05-1999.The sun was in 1st sign. The earthquake hit New Britain Region after one day
delay.
 20-08-1999, Costa Rica Earthquake: The moon was four sectors ahead from the sun. It crossed from 8th to
9th sign on 21-08-1999. The sun was in 5th sign. The earthquake hit Costa Rica one day before.
 09-09-1999, Athens Earthquake: The moon was with the sun . It crossed from 4th to 5th sign. The sun was
in 5th sign. The earthquake hit Athens after one day delay.
 02-02-2000, Indonesia Earthquake: The moon was Ten sectors ahead from the sun. It crossed from 8th to 9th
sign on 01-02-2000. The sun was in 10th sign. The earthquake hit Indonesia after one day delay.
 04-05-2000, Indonesia Earthquake: The moon was with the sun . It crossed from 12th to 1st sign on 02-05-
2000. The sun was in 1st sign. The earthquake hit Indonesia after two days delay.
Thus, above exceptions show a definite pattern, so it should also be considered as a rule rather than an exception. As far as the sectors are concerned, the above instances do not violate the above rule.But, the earthquake of Gujarat (India) was quite different, which occurred on 26-01-2001. It was a complex earthquake, which was governed by the different rules.
26-01-2001, (Gujarat) India Earthquake: The moon was with the sun (approx.). The sun was in 10th sign on 26-11-2001. The most responsible planet for the earthquake was Venus. It crossed from the 11th to 12th sign on 26-01-2001. So, here the rule of Venus is applicable and the earthquake was hit on the same day.
Rule
Whenever the Venus crosses any sign of zodiac then on the same day the date of earthquake can be predicted.
If the earthquake does not occur on the same day then add four days more. It means the earthquake will occur
on the fifth day including the date of crossing the sign of zodiac by the Venus.
Example
 16-02-2000, Taiwan Earthquake: The Venus crossed the sign on 12-02-2000. It crossed from the 9th to 10th
sign. The earthquake hit Taiwan after four days delay.
 01-01-2001, Philippines Earthquake: The Venus crossed from the 11th to 12th sign. The earthquake hit
Philippines after four days delay.

Exception
Sometimes, the dates of earthquakes may vary. This variation may be of one day. This is due to the influence of
other planets.
 10-05-1997, Iran Earthquake: Venus crossed the sign on 05-05-1997. It crossed from 7th to 8th sign. The
earthquake hit Iran after 4 + 1 = five days delay.
 30-09-1999, Oaxaca Mexico Earthquake: Venus crossed the sign on 28-09-1999. It crossed from 4th to 5th
sign. The earthquake hit Oaxaca Mexico after 4 – 1 = three days delay.
In the same manner, other planets also play their vital role in the occurrences of earthquakes on the globe.
These rules are so easy that any person can calculate it easily and may take precautions accordingly, but we will not discuss here all these rules except the sun, on the basis of specific data.
The Sun
After the glimpses of some rules we take the sun for the analysis. Keeping all the things in mind in this article,
we have emphasised only on the date (time), so selecting only one parameter according to the above rule, we
have taken the data from India Meteorological Department (IMD) for the transition of the sun in different zodiac signs. This data is based on central place Ujjain. Same as IMD for the earthquakes, data of United State
Geological Survey (USGS) have been taken to avoid clashes in time. Our firm belief is that: “The space is the key
of a successful earthquake prediction”. The planets are embedded in space.
We can use these planets in two ways:
 As a source of its triggering and As an instrument.
Here, we have used the sun as an instrument. For the analysis, data of the earthquakes have been taken from April 13, 1993 up to November 16, 2005 selecting only first one earthquake each day, month-wise (starting from Aries up to Pisces) (Fig. 1 and Table 1).

When we make cluster it is found that between – 24 to – 12 h, – 6 to + 6 h, + 42 to + 56 h and between + 60
to + 90 h number of earthquakes are maximum.
 While between – 12 to – 6 h, + 6 to + 12 h, + 54 to + 60 h and + 90 to + 96 h number of earthquakes are
minimum.
 On the same day number of earthquakes is maximum between 12 to18 h.
 On the second day number of earthquakes is maximum between 0 to 6 h.
 On the third day number of earthquakes is maximum between 12 to 18 h.
 On the fourth day number of earthquakes is maximum between 12 to 18 h.
 Special feature is that on the second day number of earthquakes is minimum between 12 to 18 h. A nice gap
that needs a further study of planetary influence.
Why it is so?
 The most important thing is that our observations (without proper data) through
which we have made our rules are similar with the observation (with proper data) because here we clearly find a gap of 12 h. When the next earthquake occurs (according
to the sun) at an interval of 6 h whenever the sun crosses any sign of zodiac at Ujjain (India) then after 12 to 36 h or after 60 to 90 h there is maximum
possibility of a major earthquake on the globe.
Our findings for the interval of 1 h are given in
Figs. 3-5.
Figure 6 shows the results of using the formula {(A – 2) + C}. Figure 7 shows the results of using the
formula [{(A × 2) + C} × H]. After using the formula
SP = [{(A × 2) + C} × H] – EHV
the results show a few peaks with the value 3, 1, 2, 18, 6, 24, 16, 22, 24, 68, 7, 71, 6, 54, 159, 99, 104, and 328.

After ignoring the figures in the series with less value in the mid result comes as 3, 18, 24, 24, 68, 71, 159, and
328, which indicates the sensitive hours as given below, in the hours given in brackets:
Before one day: 1(1), 4 (4), 9 (9), 20 (20) and 24 (24)
Same day: 17(41)
Second day: 3 (51)
Fourth day: 14 (110)
But the most dominant are second day 3 (51) and fourth day 14 (110).
 By this formula for more accuracy, we can use other data also below magnitude 6.
 So, the assumption also comes that other earthquakes between sensitive hours have shifted their time due
to impact of other planets which requires further study.
 Moreover, the results show clear concentration of the events and the specific gap but overall no significant
demarcation of time which can separately be used as perfect result without using other planets as supporting
instrument.
Conclusion
On the basis of this method, any person can take a view that this date is very sensitive for an earthquake but
for the perfection more work is required in this direction. Same as the sun we can calculate other planets
Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and Moon and where the dates
(time) are similar, there we can say that we are closer towards perfection.

Backdrop of Teacher’s Day

In many countries, Teachers’ Days (or Teachers Day) are intended to be special days for the appreciation of teachers, and may include celebrations to honour them for their special contributions in a particular field area, or the community in general. The date on which Teachers’ day is celebrated varies from country to country. Teachers’ days are distinct from World Teachers’ Day which is officially celebrated across the world on October 5.

History

 The idea of celebrating Teachers’ Day took ground independently in many countries during the 20th century; in most cases, they celebrate a local educator or an important milestone in education (for example, Argentina commemorates Domingo Faustino Sarmiento‘s death on September 11 since 1915,while India celebrates Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan‘s birthday on September 5 since 1962). This is the primary reason why countries celebrate this day on different dates, unlike many other International Days.

Geography ( Bhoogol) : Study of Bhoolok

Lovely Discussion about Geography. In India in Hindi language we call it BHOOGOL (Means Earth as a Sphere). Infact it is not so as it looks, the actual word was BHOO-LOK ( The whole earth that includes BHOO ( Earth) and LOK ( All that animate and inanimate that exist on the Earth) LOK means not only the People, After that – LOK converted in to LOG (People).
In hindi language there is a principle of VARN VIPARYAYA ( use of other or opposite letter in pronouncing any word) as sometime we call LUCKNOW as NAKHLAU.In the same way we have used LOG as GOL and after adding BHOO in it the word became as BHOOGOL. So the study of BHOOGOL or GEOGRAPHY primarily was the study of the whole of the Earth so that Man could live wisely with it, with the best co-operation with nature and feeling one god in every one in animate and in inanimate. After that who has not got the real sense, changed it and well understood word LOK got the existance as LOG so they made it as the study of LOG (People) so it was understood as the study of Earth Surface and it’s People.Afterwards in the word People they have included other features, useful for MAN as Flora and Fauna etc while in the previous concept of Bhoolok (INDIAN GEOGRAPHY) man, flora and fauna etc all were included in LOK because earlier we have never used the concept of SHOSHAN. It was the concept of PAR HIT SARIS DHARM NAHI BHAI ( there is nothing valuable except the well being of others whether it be animate or inanimate). If i can give any life to any tree by troubling myself then it’s the best work because the same god resides within that tree as lives within me.
So I am sure noone can underestimate Geography as a Subject. The only need is that we could understand it in full terms as it was earlier as BHOO – LOK = BHOOGOL.

ABSTRACT

In this research paper an attempt has been made for the prediction of a significant Earthquake on the basis of astronomical data obtained from kundali Software and Earthquake Data from the USGS. For the Previous Study only those Earthquakes have been selected in which 1000 persons or more have lost their lives from the year 1900 up to October 8, 2005. For the use of kundali (Making the Horoscope) the place Delhi has been selected which is situated at 28 N 39, 77 E 13 and for its time morning Hours have been preferred. Role of planet Venus has been examined. This study opens a new avenue in the field of Earthquake predictions on the basis of positional astronomy to make Geographical & Scientific Researches successful in new dimensions like Earthquake Predictions.

INTRODUCTION:

The Sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Thus it makes an imaginary path, adjoining both the horizons above the ground and also in the opposite side of it. This imaginary path of the Sun is called as the Ecliptic. Thus the Ecliptic is the apparent path of that the Sun traces out in the sky. The Ecliptic serves as the center of a region called the Zodiac which constitutes a band of nine degree on either side. This Zodiac has been divided into 12 equal sectors as signs Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer etc which are spread along with the Zodiac. When we divide 360 degree of a zodiac into 12 sectors, value of each sign remain 30 degree. All the planets move and cross zodiac signs time to time. Our study is based on these crossings. Whenever any planet crosses any sign of zodiac then it is important for us to note (in retrospective study) that how far the Earthquake was (in terms of Time) from the crossing time of any planet in the zodiac signs. For more accuracy we have to go further in more precision as Nakshatras etc. Every sign measures 30 degree and Each Nakshatras measures 13 degree and 20 minutes of a Zodiac. Each sign of Zodiac covers 2 ¼ Nakshatras.

Results in Table -1 generally show no significant clear mark which can be noted as the scientific clue for the Earthquake Prediction but when we see deep inside it we find a “Rhythm” in the positions of the planets, so, we are hopeful that on the basis of Rhythmic theory we can make an effort to predict Earthquakes in advance on the Globe. We find a ‘rhythm’ in the positions of the planets separate and Combined also but without significant clear marking, which only can be felt or realized to take judgments,  for deciding track and trend of forthcoming Earthquakes on the Globe. In this theory we believe that all the natural events take place according to the rhythm of the nature so is planetary movement if we are able to understand this rhythm of nature in reference to the earthquakes then surely we will be able to predict it also. When we consider the October 8, 2005 Pakistan Earthquake Positions of the planets look like as follows:

Now it becomes slight easy to say that planetary positions of  October 20, 1991 is very much Likely to the position of  October 05, 2005 only a few of planets vary a little bit but over all combined force (Planets) and Trend look the same. Earlier we have made some rules regarding the prediction of Dates of significant Earthquakes. It should be remembered that these are only the rules, not the principles based on general observations.

Whenever sun crosses any sign of Zodiac then on the same day the date of the earthquake can be predicted if earthquake does not occur on the same day then add two-day more. It means the earthquake will occur on the third day including the date of crossing the sign of zodiac by the Sun.

Sometimes the dates of earthquake may vary. This variation may be of +- one day. We believe that this is due to influence of other planets.

Rule : The Moon
Whenever the moon crosses the Twelfth house (with the Sun) or crosses the fourth house (Four sectors ahead with the Sun) or crosses the sixth house (Six sectors ahead with the Sun) or crosses the Tenth house (Ten sectors ahead with the Sun) Date of The Earthquake can be predicted (Forecasted).

Rule: The Venus

 Whenever the Venus crosses any sign of zodiac then on the same day the date of Earthquake can be predicted. If the Earthquake does not occur on the same day then add four days more. It means the Earthquake will occur on the fifth day including the date of crossing the sign of zodiac by the Venus.

When we have tested the rule of the Venus with the help of the data obtained from 11 – 05 – 2003 up to 08 -10 -2005  considering the Earthquakes above magnitude 6 results come as in  Figures – 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12,

In the same manner other planets also play their vital role in the occurrences of Earthquakes on the Globe. Like other planets the Mercury also play a very significant role in the occurrences of Earthquakes. On October 5, 2005 Mercury crossed the sign Virgo at 1-39 A.M. and entered in the sign Libra. On October 2, 2005 Venus also crossed the sign Libra at 8-18 P.M. and entered in the sign Scorpio. On October 3, 2005 there was also an Annular Solar Eclipse visible in India. Position of the Moon was dubious because it has crossed the sensitive Zone and was also away from the second sensitive zone according to the rule, neither it was with the Sun nor it was Four sectors ahead from the Sun. So, on the basis of Moon Signs decision was difficult. Annular Solar Eclipse also indicates a sensitive physical phenomenon in near future.

According to the Rule of Venus Earthquake should be either on October 2, 2005 or October 7, 2005 (Maximum).According to the Rule of Mercury (Rule not Stated) also Earthquake should be either on October 5, 2005 or October 8, 2005 (Maximum).Now, one can decide seeing all the facts and figures that if we have not felt any significant shock of Earthquake yet up to October 7, 2005 then when? Now it was about sure that a devastating Earthquake is going to be happen recently. After seeing planetary positions it was also concluded that it may be North India because the rhythm of planets was similar as it was on the date of Uttarkashi Earthquake.

Only the Question arise, how much time we have to wait for it ? For the answer, Planetary positions of Uttarkashi Earthquake was deciding factor, especially the position of the Moon (fast changing Planet according to the Indian Astrology / Astronomy) has assured that before the position of the Moon (as it was on October 20, 1991 in (Nakshatras) and the Earthquake came accordingly on October 8, 2005. On October 8, 2005 position of the moon can be seen in the Figure -13 which indicates us about the sensitive time for the triggering of such devastated earthquakes but it looks confusing too, so, the decisions of Earthquake Predictions should be taken after considering all other factors too.

Conclusion

1. Analysis of the planet mercury should also be done with the help of the appropriate data.

2. After taking a view of facts and figures along with the tables we can say that we are hopeful towards the predictions of Earthquakes in advance.

3. It looks that we are going in a right direction but the real goal is still so far.

4. In this direction certainly more work is required.

5. If we assimilate all the fields together certainly we will be able to save human lives and property more efficiently.

6. There is also no doubt that project wise extensive study of different planets also needed.
